About the role

We are looking for a qualified Specialist Note-taker for Deaf and Visually Impaired students who has the ability to support students in achieving their full potential. Ideally, you will have experience in working with students in Higher Education setting, as you would be required to work mainly within colleges and universities.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role

•Provide in-lecture notes to a high standard.

•Manage paperwork effectively, i.e. completing time sheets.

•You will be expected to represent Clarion UK in a professional manner, this includes adhering to our policies regarding confidentiality and safeguarding

 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

One or more of the following is required:

•OCN Level 2 Certificates in Notetaking for students disabilities in higher education OR

•OCN Level 3 Certificates in Notetaking for students disabilities in higher education OR

•OCN London Note-taking for Disabled students in higher education – Level 2 OR

•LOCN Level 3 Certificate in Notetaking for disabled students in Higher Education OR

•Completed training through as institution that results in a successful final skills assessment OR

•Other training, including at a higher education institution, delivered by an appropriately qualified trainer who can demonstrate a relevant qualification in notetaking, and which leads to a final skills assessment

•Other formal note-taking qualifications will be considered
