Communication Support Workers

Communication Support Workers (CSWs) work in colleges, universities and sometimes schools, helping Deaf students to communicate with their teachers and other students.  They use a variety of support strategies and communication methods to match the individuals’ needs and preferences. They ensure the student has a good understanding of assignments and can modify written language if needed. All of our CSWs are qualified to at least NVQ level 3 -6 BSL or are graduates from Deaf studies or similar.
